Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Axis Direct, the retail broking and investment services brand under Axis Securities Limited (ASL), has appointed Sanjay Jain as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over 18 years of experience in technology leadership across fintech, insurtech, and digital platforms, Sanjay brings a proven track record of driving engineering excellence and digital transformation.

Prior to joining Axis Securities, Sanjay served as Chief Technology & Product Officer – DBAT at Freecharge, where he led the development of scalable digital products and modern applications on AWS EKS, embedding best-in-class DevSecOps practices. His leadership contributed significantly to strengthening digital offerings in the payments ecosystem.

Earlier, at HDFC Life, Sanjay played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s insurtech innovations, delivering first-to-market solutions such as Data Lake (Atom), Reco Engine, InstaQuote, InstaInsure, and Life99, all of which elevated customer experience and digital insurance adoption.

He has also held key technology leadership positions at Zimmber (now QuikrEasy), Hopscotch, TinyOwl, and Onskreen Inc., where he specialized in building mobile-first digital solutions, innovative products, and high-performing engineering teams. These diverse experiences across startups and established enterprises equip him with a strong foundation to lead Axis Direct’s technology-driven growth.

At Axis Direct, Sanjay will spearhead digital transformation initiatives, focusing on delivering next-generation financial solutions, enhancing customer experience, and strengthening the organization’s competitive position in the retail broking space.
