Lisbon, Portugal – November 2024 – Galp has appointed Sara Aires as the new Head of Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding & Internal Communication. In this role, Sara will lead strategies to attract top talent, strengthen Galp’s employer brand, and enhance internal communication across the organization. Her leadership will be crucial as Galp continues to build a strong and engaged workforce aligned with its mission of delivering efficient, sustainable energy solutions.
Sara has been with Galp for nearly seven years, most recently serving as the Corporate, Renewables & New Business HR Business Partner, where she played a key role in supporting HR initiatives for Galp’s corporate and renewable energy divisions. Prior to this, Sara held the position of Corporate HR Business Partner and later transitioned to People Specialist, where she handled critical HR operations, data management, and employee relationship processes.
Before joining Galp, Sara worked as the Corporate Human Resources Manager at AdP – Águas de Portugal, where she led various HR functions, including recruitment, career management, and employee engagement. Her work focused on developing internal talent through traineeship programs, employee mobility, and culture-building initiatives, enhancing the organization’s workforce capabilities.
Sara’s HR career began with roles as a Human Resources Generalist at both EPAL – Empresa Portuguesa das Águas Livres, SA and SimTejo, where she managed employee engagement, compensation, career development, and payroll administration. Her early career experience laid a solid foundation for her expertise in talent management and workforce alignment.
