Burlington, MA, USA – Vibhu Jain has recently assumed the role of Head of Chemistry Synthesis Solutions. This appointment marks a new chapter in Jain’s illustrious career, which spans over two decades of profound contributions to the life sciences industry.

Having joined MilliporeSigma in 2016, Jain has spent over seven years at Merck, shaping the strategic direction of various business units across the globe. He led major growth initiatives in the Asia Pacific region and significantly contributed to the company’s digital marketing and demand generation strategies in his most recent roles before his current position.
During his journey at Merck, he played significant roles as the Head of Commercial Marketing for Asia Pacific, where he supported the integration of Merck-Sigma Aldrich and led a combined marketing organization. He achieved double-digit growth in key markets, including China, India, and Korea. His strategic insight was pivotal during his tenure as Head of Marketing and demand Generation, where he incorporated Generative AI technologies into Merck’s marketing strategies.
Before his time at Merck, Jain was instrumental in driving business growth at Corning Incorporated, where he served for six years. He was key in establishing Corning as a market leader in India, achieving a remarkable 50% CAGR and leading successful M&A activities.
His initial steps in the industry were as an Application Scientist at Merck, immediately following his completion of a Ph.D. This role saw him making significant impacts in technical marketing and sales for biology and analytical workflow tools, setting the stage for his later achievements in leadership.
