Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 — Capri Global Capital Ltd. has appointed Saswata Guha as the new Head Credit – Debt Capital Markets (DCM). In this strategic leadership role, Saswata will spearhead credit strategy, portfolio design, and institutional engagement to strengthen Capri’s growing presence in domestic and offshore capital markets while supporting the company’s mission of enabling access to responsible and scalable credit.
With deep experience across credit analytics, market intelligence, and financial sector risk evaluation, Saswata’s appointment signals Capri’s continued commitment toward expanding its capital markets capability and building a credit franchise that accelerates growth for institutional borrowers.
Before joining Capri Global Capital Ltd., Saswata Guha served as Senior Director at Fitch Ratings, where he spent nearly five years influencing the debt markets through analytical leadership and market commentary. He enabled more than USD 10 billion in offshore funding—including pioneering instruments like Masala Bonds—and actively engaged with policymakers and global investors. His foresight on emerging risks and decisive analysis during events such as the COVID-19 disruption, PNB fraud impact, and Yes Bank crisis positioned him as a widely respected voice in credit markets.
Earlier at Fitch, Saswata spent over nine years as Director, Associate Director, and Senior Analyst, rapidly rising through the ranks. His contributions included risk assessment of a $2.5 trillion asset base, market influence through regulatory dialogue, and strengthening the agency’s analytical credibility in India’s financial system. His consistent market impact earned him the prestigious Global ACE Award twice.
Before Fitch, Saswata worked at Deutsche Bank, where he served as Deputy Team Head, managing Southeast Asian portfolios and creating enhanced risk monitoring frameworks for over 200 counterparties. His work ensured low NPA levels through stress-testing models across diverse banking ecosystems.
He began his finance career with global exposure at Lehman Brothers, rising to Associate (Team Head) within a year and leading risk frameworks for global financial entities including NBFCs and Asset Management Companies. His earliest experience at Progeon Ltd. (an Infosys company) helped develop his foundational expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and diligence accuracy.
