Gurugram, Haryana, India, January 2026 — PepsiCo has appointed Savitha Balachandran as Chief Financial Officer – India and South Asia, strengthening its leadership bench with a seasoned finance leader known for driving strategic transformation, governance excellence, and sustainable value creation across large, complex businesses.
In her new role, Savitha Balachandran will lead the finance agenda for PepsiCo India and South Asia, supporting business growth, strengthening financial resilience, and enabling sharper decision-making across PepsiCo’s diversified portfolio. Her appointment reflects PepsiCo’s focus on building future-ready leadership as the organisation continues to evolve in a dynamic consumer landscape.
Savitha joins PepsiCo after serving as Chief Financial Officer at Tata Technologies for over five years. During her tenure, she played a key role in leading financial strategy and stewardship for a technology-driven global engineering services organisation, supporting long-term growth, governance discipline, and financial performance.
Before Tata Technologies, Savitha spent nearly 18 years with Tata Motors, where she held several senior leadership roles spanning Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Budgeting & Controlling, Organisational Strategy, Treasury, and Investor Relations. Across these assignments, she contributed significantly to enterprise-level financial governance, strategic planning, and transformation initiatives—building a strong reputation for strategic rigor, execution discipline, and stakeholder management.
Her early roles at Tata Motors also included leadership responsibilities across the company’s Fast Track Talent Program, the Utility Vehicle Product Group, and Vehicle Finance, giving her strong cross-functional grounding and deep familiarity with business-linked finance.
Savitha’s academic and executive learning credentials reflect a rare blend of global exposure and financial depth. She completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education (2025), received the Fulbright-CII Fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University – Tepper School of Business (2012), and cleared CFA Level 3 through the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (USA). She holds a PGDM in Finance (major) from Symbiosis Centre for Management and HRD (2000–2002).
