Senthil Nathan B Takes Helm as Head of Employee Relations for India/South Asia at Standard Chartered Bank

Mumbai, India – Senthil Nathan B has recently embarked on his new role as Head of Employee Relations for India and South Asia at Standard Chartered Bank. With an extensive career spanning over two decades in human resources management across various global financial institutions, Nathan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Nathan held a pivotal role at Citi as the APAC Employee Relations Policy Head from July 2021 to April 2024, where he led the creation and harmonization of HR policies across sixteen countries in the Asia-Pacific region. This role capitalized on his deep knowledge of global human resources management and policy development, which is crucial for handling complex, multinational employee relations landscapes.

From July 2018 to July 2021, Nathan served as the India HR Head at Citi Solution Centers. Here, he managed HR operations for over 17,000 employees, supporting Citi’s global businesses in various functions. His strategic oversight was instrumental in developing people strategies and organizational designs that significantly enhanced operational effectiveness across the centers.

Earlier in his career, Nathan was the Head of HR for India Consumer Banking Business at Citi, managing HR functions for a substantial segment of the bank’s consumer and commercial banking groups. His tenure at Citi was marked by innovative HR leadership and strategic employer branding initiatives that bolstered the bank’s position as a leader in financial services.

Nathan’s role prior to Citi involved significant responsibilities at Baxter International Inc., where as Senior Manager HR for the India Manufacturing unit, he partnered with business leaders to foster workforce development and enhance labor relations. His career has also seen impactful positions at major companies such as PepsiCo and E.I.D. Parry, where he developed and executed HR strategies that drove business success and employee satisfaction.
