Istanbul, Türkiye, December 2024 – Serra Alkoclar Alp has been appointed as the Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer at AI Startup Factory, a Corporate Venture Capital company backed by Türkiye İş Bankası. Bringing over a decade of expertise in strategy, marketing, and venture capital, Ms. Alkoclar Alp will lead the company’s initiatives to foster innovation, support AI startups, and drive global growth for its portfolio companies.
At AI Startup Factory, she will oversee corporate strategy, marketing efforts, startup investing, and international expansion, ensuring the startups in the portfolio are well-prepared for the challenges of highly competitive global markets.
Ms. Alkoclar Alp most recently served as Chief Strategy Officer at Hiwell, Türkiye’s leading online psychotherapy platform, where she led efforts in corporate strategy, fundraising, international expansion, and performance marketing. Prior to that, she was the Strategy and Investment Director at Hiwell, where she contributed to its growth across multiple regions.
Before joining Hiwell, she was a Strategic Business Partner, providing consultancy services to startups and scale-ups, mentoring founders, and serving on advisory boards. Earlier in her career, she co-founded and led StilGiyin, a pioneering fashion product aggregator in Türkiye that achieved significant growth, generating over $20 million in sales for affiliate stores before its successful exit.
Her background also includes financial and investment roles, such as Research Analyst and Economist at BNP Paribas Investment Partners and Private Equity and Venture Capital Analyst at Princeton University’s endowment, where she worked with leading global investment firms.
