In his new role, Misra is leading the transformation of Human Resources into a data-led, AI-enabled, business-impact function, strengthening learning, analytics, automation and intelligent HR platforms across one of India’s largest asset management companies.
At SBI Mutual Fund, Shashank Misra has assumed charge as Head L&D, HR Tech & Analytics, driving enterprise capability development, HR automation, analytics, agentic AI and employee experience transformation. He is embedding AI-led insights into leadership and people decision-making, strengthening HR governance, ROI frameworks and scalable digital HR ecosystems.
Previously, at Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd, he served as Lead – Talent Development, heading L&D across retail banking, mortgages, CV finance, inclusive finance and corporate services. He architected enterprise learning journeys, strengthened leadership pipelines, scaled digital learning ecosystems and enabled capability building for over 8,500 employees nationwide.
Earlier, he co-founded WeVerse Digital as Co-Founder & CEO, leading HR technology strategy, digital transformation, HRIT and organizational development initiatives.
Before this, at Torus Digital, he was Lead – People & Culture, where he led people strategy for private banking and technology verticals and built enterprise ERP platforms across HR, Finance, CRM, Project Management and Marketing Intelligence.
At reliancesmartmoney.com, Misra progressed through leadership roles including Lead HRBP & Talent Development (VP/AVP), Senior Manager Corporate HR & Head HRBP – ISG, and Manager Corporate HR & Lead Employee Engagement, earning multiple awards for HR excellence, engagement leadership and business partnering.
He also served at Edelweiss Financial Services Limited as Regional HR – Mumbai & ROM and HRBP – West Zone, and began his HR career in executive search at Mithi Consultants, Pune.
