Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 2025 – Shathi (R) Sharma has taken on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at Jumbo Group, assuming responsibility for shaping the group’s people strategy, organisational culture, leadership development, and workforce transformation across its multi-country retail and distribution operations in the Middle East.
In her current role at Jumbo Group, Shathi is spearheading the HR charter for one of the UAE’s most iconic retail and consumer electronics conglomerates. She is focused on strengthening talent architecture, leadership pipelines, and performance-driven culture across Jumbo’s expanding footprint in the GCC.
Prior to joining Jumbo Group, she served as Vice President – Human Resources at Reliance Retail, where she played a pivotal role in driving large-scale HR strategy, workforce expansion, and organisational transformation across one of India’s largest retail ecosystems.
Before this, she was the Chief Human Resources Officer at Modenik Lifestyle, leading end-to-end HR transformation, organisational restructuring, and people strategy for fast-growing lifestyle and apparel brands.
Earlier in her career, Shathi spent several years with Landmark Group, where she served as Head of HR, playing a critical role in integrating HR with business strategy, building scalable HR systems, and strengthening organisational capability across retail formats.
Her foundational leadership experience includes HR leadership roles with Telenor, Madura Fashion & Lifestyle (Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail), Emirates NBD, and GE, where she developed deep expertise in retail HR, telecom workforce leadership, and multi-geography people management.
Shathi holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Management from Delhi University and has further strengthened her strategic leadership credentials through the Executive Programme in Leadership and Management (EPLM) from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. This strong academic foundation has equipped her with deep expertise in organisational leadership, people strategy, and enterprise transformation across complex, multi-market environments.
