Gurugram, Haryana, India, March 2025 — Bharti Airtel has elevated Siddharth Sharma to the dual role of Chief Executive Officer – Connected Homes and Chief Marketing Officer, effective April 1, 2025. With over two decades of experience in the telecom and media industries, Sharma’s elevation underscores Airtel’s commitment to scaling its digital leadership in broadband, home entertainment, and customer-centric innovation.
In his previous role, Sharma served as CEO of Bharti Airtel’s DTH business, where he led strategic operations with full P&L accountability, driving growth and operational efficiency. Prior to that, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing & Head of Postpaid Business and played a key role in brand development and customer engagement. His international experience includes a successful three-year tenure at Singtel Singapore, where he led mobile marketing and analytics, transforming business outcomes with data-driven strategies.
Sharma rejoined Airtel in 2019 as CEO for the Kolkata, West Bengal, and Odisha circles, where he propelled business expansion and local market leadership. Earlier in his career, he also worked with BPL Mobile and Jet Airways, gaining foundational experience in customer management and sales.
An alumnus of the UCLA Anderson School of Management, Sharma brings a strategic blend of brand stewardship, digital transformation, and commercial acumen. In his expanded mandate, he will oversee the connected homes business and lead integrated marketing initiatives across Airtel’s mobile, broadband, DTH, enterprise, and digital services portfolios.
