With over 18 years of international experience in HR strategy, shared services, and AI-driven HR technology, Sikandar will oversee Flywire’s Global People Services, Strategy, and Transformation initiatives, leading a distributed team responsible for advancing HR Shared Services and People Systems.
In his new role, Sikandar will focus on scaling Flywire’s HR operations through digital transformation, process excellence, and employee-centric innovation. He aims to integrate Generative AI, HR chatbots, and advanced People Analytics to create a data-driven, efficient, and human-centered HR ecosystem that aligns with Flywire’s global growth and innovation strategy.
Prior to joining Flywire, Sikandar Sayyed served as HR Transformation Leader – People Strategy and Programs at Emirates NBD, where he designed and executed large-scale HR transformation initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience. His contributions included driving over 40 process excellence projects, resulting in significant cost optimization and a 27% improvement in workforce efficiency, as well as leading digital adoption strategies involving ASKHR, Oracle Digital Assistant, and HireVue platforms.
Earlier, he was the Head of Global HR Shared Services and People & Culture Transformation at METRO AG, where he established and scaled a Global HR Shared Services Center in India, supporting operations across 28 countries in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. He led global transitions impacting more than 96,000 employees, emphasizing operational scalability and technology-enabled transformation.
Before METRO, Sikandar spent several years at Microsoft, where he played multiple leadership roles including Senior Manager – HR Scaled Services Enablement & Digital Employee Experience, and Senior HR Service Line Manager – Americas Delivery Hub. At Microsoft, he drove global HR service delivery, led digital HR initiatives across the Americas and Asia, and supported the onboarding of over 20,000 new hires annually through optimized processes and AI-enabled service frameworks.
Sikandar’s earlier career spans impactful tenures at Amazon, ADP, and IBM, where he led large-scale HR operations, built high-performing service delivery teams, and implemented advanced HR solutions for global enterprises. His deep expertise in HR transformation, process automation, and people analytics positions him as a thought leader in the digital HR space.
