Danville, California, United States, November 2025 — Simon Cotton has started a new position as Vice President, Transformation, HCP Engagement at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, marking another pivotal milestone in his distinguished commercial leadership career across the global biopharmaceutical industry. In this newly elevated mandate, he will lead transformation initiatives designed to strengthen physician engagement, enhance field excellence, and accelerate strategic impact across Jazz’s growing therapeutic portfolio.
Before stepping into this new role, Simon Cotton served as Vice President of Sales, Hematology & Oncology at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, where he led commercial strategy, field force effectiveness, and performance delivery across key oncology brands. Over four years, he played a central role in scaling the organization’s launch readiness, strengthening strategic account management, and advancing impactful commercial execution.
Prior to this, he was Executive National Sales Director at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, where he contributed significantly to shaping national sales leadership, enabling commercial teams, and enhancing operational alignment. His tenure reflected strong momentum, preparing him for expanded leadership responsibility.
Before joining Jazz, Simon held multiple high-impact commercial leadership roles at Daiichi Sankyo, including National Sales Director, ADC Franchise, where he oversaw pivotal oncology portfolios and supported the advancement of targeted therapies. His approach combined deep market insight with a strong commitment to advancing patient outcomes.
Earlier, Simon spent more than four years at Clovis Oncology, serving as both Vice President of Sales and Regional Sales Director, where he played a key role in building commercial capabilities across the West region. His earlier decade-long tenure at Genentech shaped the foundation of his oncology leadership journey, where he progressed through roles including National Sales Director, Regional Sales Director, Senior Manager, Sales Operations, and Division Manager, working across major oncology brands such as Herceptin, Tarceva, Gazyva, and Zelboraf.
Simon began his career at TAP Pharmaceuticals, progressing from Sales Representative to District Manager and Regional Product Manager, supporting the Lupron Urology/GYN franchise across multiple U.S. regions. Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, he began his professional journey as a Teacher at Towson Catholic High School, demonstrating early strengths in leadership, communication, and coaching—traits that later shaped his commercial leadership excellence.
