New Delhi, India, December 2024 – Simon George has been named the Vice President & Managing Director, Cargill Food, South Asia, a role that underscores his exceptional leadership within Cargill. Having served as the President of Cargill India for over six years, Simon’s new position reflects his pivotal contributions to the company’s growth and strategic direction. In his expanded capacity, Simon will lead Cargill’s South Asia food business, driving innovation, sustainability, and regional growth to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
Simon George’s journey with Cargill spans over seven years. Before assuming his new role, Simon served as the President of Cargill India, where he led the company’s operations with a focus on sustainability, market expansion, and operational excellence. His leadership resulted in significant advancements in Cargill’s market presence and customer engagement strategies.
Prior to this, Simon held the role of Managing Director, Cargill Food Solutions, South Asia, where he was instrumental in shaping the company’s food solutions business. He also served as the Managing Director of CSST, India, showcasing his strategic acumen in managing complex supply chains and driving customer-centric solutions.
Simon’s career before Cargill includes leadership roles at Kerry, where he served as General Manager – South West Asia & Flavours (APAC), and at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), where he held various regional leadership positions. His extensive expertise in the flavors and food solutions sectors has established him as a trusted leader in the industry.
Simon began his professional journey at Detergents India Limited, where he rose from a trainee to the position of Chief Executive Officer, demonstrating his ability to lead organizations across diverse industries.
