Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 – UPL, a leading global provider of sustainable agriculture solutions, has announced the appointment of Sonalika Dhar as Global Head – Strategic Investments & Business Development. In her new role, she will be responsible for shaping UPL’s strategic investment decisions and driving global business development initiatives to further strengthen the company’s leadership in the agri-solutions sector.
Prior to this appointment, Sonalika Dhar served as Vice President – M&A, Equity and IR at Epsilon Carbon Pvt. Ltd. for nearly a year. In this role, she led equity strategy and managed investor relations, bringing a sharp financial lens to high-impact business decisions in the carbon industry.
Before her stint at Epsilon Carbon, Sonalika spent over 3.5 years at UPL, initially as Principal – Investments, where she managed the group’s investment portfolio and strategic funding initiatives, and later as Head of Investor Relations & Strategic Investments, where she helped steer UPL’s engagement with global investors while driving key strategic initiatives.
Earlier, she was associated with Sahajanand Medical Technologies as an Independent Director, providing valuable board-level insights, corporate governance leadership, and strategic advisory since 2023.
Previously, Sonalika served as Associate Director at Edelweiss Financial Services for over 3 years, where she worked on large-scale deals and investment banking mandates, enhancing her expertise in capital markets and strategic finance.
Earlier in her career, she was associated with KPMG India as Director, Corporate Finance, with Religare as Vice President – Investment Banking, and had prior roles at Edelweiss Financial Services, Citicorp Finance India Ltd, and DCB Bank, amassing more than two decades of rich experience in financial services, investment banking, and strategic planning.
