Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, March 2025 – Stefani “Stef” Tygar Barnes has been appointed as Managing Director, Human Resources, Global Delivery, Vendor Management and M&A Services at Wells Fargo, further extending her impactful journey of over 14 years with the company. In her new role, Stef will lead Wells Fargo’s global HR delivery strategy, oversee vendor governance, and direct the M&A team responsible for strategic employee transitions during corporate transactions, while driving operational excellence through continuous improvement.
Prior to this elevation, Stef served as Managing Director, Head of Employee Care, where she led Wells Fargo’s domestic and international HR contact centers, ensuring exceptional support across benefits, payroll, and leave management. Her leadership was instrumental in aligning service excellence with the company’s people-first strategy.

Earlier, Stef held the position of Senior Vice President, Human Resources Advisory Business Support, where she led enterprise-wide HR service delivery strategies and collaborated closely with senior leaders to implement business-aligned HR initiatives. Her work consistently emphasized cross-functional partnerships, operational strategy, and DEI.
Before joining the HR leadership ranks, Stef was Senior Vice President, Head of Personal Insurance, leading national relationship management and customer engagement efforts. Her career foundation includes earlier strategic roles across wealth management, retirement services, and client service at Wells Fargo, as well as consulting experience with Deloitte, where she specialized in retirement provider strategy.
