Munich, Bavaria, Germany, September 2025 – Stefanie Schmundt has been appointed as Head of Human Resources at Deutsche Private Equity (DPE). In this role, she will lead the HR strategy, oversee talent development, and strengthen organizational culture to support DPE’s growth and expansion across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Before joining DPE, Stefanie spent nearly six years at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she most recently served as Senior Director Consultant Recruiting Central Europe. She led strategic recruiting initiatives across the region, enhancing BCG’s ability to attract and retain top consulting talent. Previously, she was Director Consultant Recruiting GER/AUT, where she spearheaded recruiting processes for Germany and Austria, building strong employer branding and driving candidate experience improvements.
Prior to BCG, Stefanie worked at Bain & Company for almost five years. She served as Head of Recruiting for Germany and Switzerland, overseeing recruitment strategies across both markets and ensuring high-quality hiring standards. Earlier at Bain, she was Team Leader Recruiting CH, where she managed recruiting operations and strengthened Bain’s presence in Switzerland by building robust recruiting pipelines.
Stefanie also contributed significantly to Roland Berger Strategy Consultants as an HR Senior Advisor for more than four years. In this role, she provided advisory support on HR strategy, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development, playing a pivotal part in strengthening HR practices within the consulting firm.
She began her career with Lufthansa, completing a postgraduate program in Corporate Communications & Hub Management, where she gained early exposure to corporate structures and communications. Additionally, she worked as a Student Editor with infoNetwork GmbH, Mediengruppe RTL, sharpening her communication and editorial skills that have since complemented her HR career.
