Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 — Sudipta Chakraborty has been appointed as Whole-Time Director at Sanofi India, marking a significant leadership elevation within the organization.
Sudipta has been serving as General Counsel – India at Sanofi since June 2025, and her elevation comes within nine months of joining the company in that capacity. In her role as General Counsel, she has been leading legal strategy, governance, and compliance frameworks for Sanofi’s India operations, supporting the company’s growth in a highly regulated biopharmaceutical environment.
Prior to joining Sanofi, Sudipta served as Vice President – Group Legal & Compliance at Aditya Birla Group, where she was part of the Global Legal Leadership Team and led Governance & Compliance, Intellectual Property, and Internal M&A and restructuring initiatives. Earlier, she was General Counsel and Head of Compliance at RoundGlass, overseeing legal and compliance functions across geographies.
She also held senior regional leadership roles at FMC Corporation as APAC Head – Global Corporate Tax and Tax Technology, and at Adient as APAC Leader – Legal, Compliance and Taxation. Her earlier experience includes serving as a Litigator at Economic Laws Practice (ELP) and holding roles at EY and PwC, building strong expertise in international tax, corporate governance, and regulatory advisory.
With extensive cross-border legal and compliance leadership experience across global corporations, Sudipta brings deep expertise in governance, regulatory strategy, taxation, M&A, and compliance transformation to her expanded role at Sanofi India.
