Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2025 — Suman Guha has been appointed Vice President, Group Technology Synergy at Tata Digital and Chief Technology & Product Officer at Tata CLiQ Fashion. In his dual mandate, he will spearhead technology collaboration across Tata Digital, Croma, and CLiQ, while leading a 250-member product and technology team at Tata CLiQ. With more than two decades of experience across retail, SaaS, and DeepTech sectors, Guha brings strategic depth in data, digital transformation, and platform-scale technology to enhance Tata Group’s consumer tech ecosystem.
Before this, Suman Guha served as Chief Product & Technology Officer at Reliance Retail, where he launched the beauty platform Tira and scaled the fashion, sports, and lifestyle verticals. He was instrumental in building a digital-native, composable commerce stack that slashed product launch times from 180 days to 21. His scope spanned leadership over product, UX, technology, and program teams.
At Cisco, Guha held the role of Head of Platform Engineering, overseeing a $6 billion product portfolio. He led globally distributed teams across Bangalore, Brussels, Brisbane, and San Francisco, achieving a 44% portfolio growth and launching multiple global products and early field trials.
Earlier, as Product Head – Core Commerce Platforms at Tesco, Guha was the architect behind one of the company’s largest digital transformations. He transitioned monolithic systems into a modern, SaaS-based composable commerce architecture that modernized Tesco’s global commerce capabilities.
Prior to these roles, Guha contributed to key technology and product leadership initiatives at Teradata, Red Hat, Castle Rock Research Corporation, Innozon Software Technologies, and PLC Platforms. Across these roles, he built and scaled global product and engineering teams, led cloud-native product development, and helped launch platforms across education, e-commerce, and enterprise tech sectors.
Outside his corporate mandates, Guha is also an active mentor and angel investor, advising and supporting startups in AI, SaaS, and consumer technology with expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, and digital strategy.
