New Delhi, Delhi, India, October 2025 – Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has appointed Sunil Moolchandani as Function Head – National Sales, marking a pivotal addition to the company’s leadership team as it continues to strengthen its position in India’s highly competitive automotive market. With more than 24 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business leadership across the automotive sector, Sunil will spearhead Hyundai’s national sales operations, driving strategy, growth, and customer engagement across India.
Before joining Hyundai Motor India, Sunil Moolchandani had an illustrious 19-year tenure at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he held multiple leadership positions, most recently serving as Chief Commercial Officer (Central Zone). In this capacity, he led the commercial business and sales strategy across key territories, managing network expansion, channel optimization, and customer experience initiatives. Earlier, as Commercial Business Head – NEXA (Central Zone), he played a crucial role in scaling NEXA’s premium retail footprint and enhancing the customer-centric approach of Maruti’s brand portfolio.
During his time at Maruti Suzuki, Sunil also served as Regional Manager – Delhi and Regional Manager – Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand, where he was instrumental in developing strong dealer partnerships, improving market penetration, and driving revenue growth through innovative go-to-market strategies. His earlier experience includes a successful stint at Bajaj Auto Ltd., where he worked as Area Product Manager – 2 Wheelers, managing key product categories and supporting market development initiatives across India.
Sunil’s leadership is characterized by his ability to balance data-driven decision-making with people-centric management. His track record of driving transformation, nurturing dealer networks, and achieving consistent growth across multiple regions makes him a valuable asset for Hyundai Motor India’s future roadmap.
Sunil Moolchandani holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing & Projects) from Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), Pune, which has contributed to his strategic and customer-focused leadership style.
