Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 — Swapnakant Samal has moved on to his next role as Vice President – Talent Acquisition at Polycab India Limited, where he will lead the organisation’s talent acquisition strategy and execution across businesses and functions.
In his new role, Swapnakant Samal will be responsible for strengthening Polycab’s hiring ecosystem, leadership talent pipeline, recruitment policies, and digitisation initiatives, supporting the company’s continued growth across wires, cables, and fast-moving electrical goods. His appointment brings to Polycab deep expertise in enterprise-scale hiring, governance, and talent transformation.
Prior to joining Polycab India Limited, Swapnakant served as Head – Talent and Organisation Processes at Waaree Group, where he led strategic talent and organisational initiatives aligned with the group’s rapid expansion. Before this, he spent over nine years at Reliance Industries Limited, heading Corporate Functions Hiring, Talent Acquisition policy, process, and digitisation for the Hydrocarbon business, along with leadership and project hiring driven by apex-level mandates.
Earlier in his career, Swapnakant held senior HR leadership roles with Khaitan & Co, Shinsei Asset Management India Pvt. Ltd., JM Financial Asset Management, i-flex solutions ltd., and Heinz India. Across these roles, he has built strong capability in end-to-end HR leadership, large-scale hiring, performance management, and talent development across professional services, financial services, technology, and manufacturing sectors.
