New York City, New York, United States, October 2024 – Teddy Tien has stepped into his new role as Global Head of People Strategy & Portfolio at Sanofi. In this capacity, he will lead a newly formed center of excellence, driving people strategy, insights and analytics, AI implementation, organizational effectiveness, and portfolio management. Teddy’s extensive expertise in HR strategy and people management will be instrumental as he supports Sanofi’s mission of transformative healthcare advancements.
Before assuming his current position, Teddy Tien served as the People Business Partner Lead for Sanofi’s Specialty Care divisions across the US and Canada. In this role, he guided a team of HR business partners to enhance the overall people and culture strategy, ensuring alignment with Sanofi’s growth in specialty care sectors.
Prior to that, Teddy held the title of Global HR Business Partner at Sanofi, where he was responsible for HR strategy across various specialty care franchises, including Rare Diseases, Rare Blood Disorders, and Neurology and Immunology. His work in this position significantly advanced HR processes and supported specialized healthcare innovations.
Before joining Sanofi, Teddy was a Vice President at Mastercard. In this role, he led the Global Head of Leadership Development team, responsible for designing and delivering leadership and talent development programs. His initiatives helped foster future leaders and build robust talent pipelines globally.
Earlier in his career, Teddy spent over a decade at PwC in multiple leadership roles. He held the position of Human Capital Director for PwC Technology and Labs, where he pioneered people strategies for the tech-focused division. His tenure also included an international assignment in China, where he led human capital transformations in Beijing and Hong Kong.
Teddy’s diverse and impressive experience across major corporations equips him with the strategic insight and global perspective needed to lead Sanofi’s people strategy initiatives effectively.
