London, United Kingdom, January 2026 – Toni Checketts has been promoted to the role of Director, Engagement at ABBYY, where she is responsible for leading the global strategy for People Partners, Learning & Development, and enterprise-wide engagement initiatives, strengthening culture, capability, and workforce performance across ABBYY’s global operations.
Prior to her promotion, Toni Checketts served as Senior Manager, Learning & Development at ABBYY, where she shaped the company’s learning culture, designed scalable development frameworks, and led enterprise-wide skill development, succession planning, and performance enablement programs. Her work directly influenced ABBYY’s employee lifecycle strategies, learning platforms, and compliance training ecosystems.
Before joining ABBYY, she held progressive leadership roles at Epicor, including Director, Talent & Leadership Development, Global Senior Manager, Talent & Leadership Development, and Global Learning & Development Manager – Professional Services. During this tenure, she led global learning strategies for thousands of employees, introduced mentoring and onboarding transformation programs, and built enterprise-wide leadership development frameworks.
Earlier in her career, Toni built global learning architectures at Trimble Inc. as RE&WS Global Learning & Development Lead, establishing formal partner development programs and global LMS ecosystems, and previously held learning leadership roles across EMEA Client Services.
She began her professional journey at Waitrose & Partners, where she spent over a decade progressing through leadership development and L&D design roles.
