Houston, Texas, United States, November 2025 — Universal Plant Services (UPS) has announced the appointment of Tracy Terrell as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). With more than three decades of leadership experience spanning the energy, industrial, and technology consulting sectors, Tracy brings a proven record of driving large-scale digital transformation, enterprise technology modernization, and operational excellence.
Before joining Universal Plant Services, Tracy served as Chief Digital/Information Officer (CDIO) at ZeoGas LLC, where he led digital strategy and IT modernization initiatives supporting the company’s innovative energy projects. Prior to that, as Consulting CIO at Trans4mative Advisors, he directed complex enterprise programs across sectors — including the deployment of Workday HRMS for Puerto Rico’s power authority and the consolidation of multi-tenant platforms for engineering firms and nonprofit organizations. His work consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to aligning technology, people, and processes with business growth.
Earlier in his career, Tracy held the role of Chief Information Officer at TEAM, Inc., where he successfully implemented a company-wide Digital Transformation Program, integrating IT, data, and field operations. His leadership in introducing the Digital Technician Program empowered thousands of field employees through digital tools, collaboration platforms, and enhanced cybersecurity systems. Additionally, he built a Cybersecurity Roadmap and modernized IT governance, significantly improving service delivery and operational resilience.
His prior experience includes key leadership positions with Quanta Services, Global Geophysical Services, Alvarez & Marsal, and Blockbuster Express – The New Release, as well as founding technology ventures such as EnterSys Group and Terrell Technology. Across these roles, Tracy consistently drove strategic IT transformations, ERP implementations, and enterprise software initiatives that enhanced efficiency, reduced costs, and strengthened organizational capabilities.
As Chief Information Officer at Universal Plant Services, Tracy will lead the company’s technology vision, digital transformation, and data-driven innovation to enhance operational performance across its nationwide network. His expertise in building secure, scalable, and intelligent IT ecosystems will be key in supporting UPS’s mission of delivering excellence in industrial services.
