New York, United States – November 2024 – Umasankar Nistala has joined Publicis Groupe as the Chief Information Officer and CEO of Re:Sources, the company’s shared service division. Based in New York, Umasankar will lead Publicis’ global IT teams and oversee Re, ensuring consistency and synergies across the Groupe’s tools and systems. With extensive experience in technology leadership and digital transformation, Umasankar will focus on driving operational excellence and enhancing Publicis’ digital capabilities, playing a key role in the Groupe’s growth strategy by improving client outcomes and ensuring strategic flexibility.

Prior to joining Publicis Groupe, Umasankar Nistala served as a Corporate Advisor at Sonata Software, where he contributed to business and IT strategy for the company. He also held a position as Financial Services Advisory Board Member at SecureCo, offering industry insights for securing financial transactions and shaping product direction.

Previously, Umasankar was Senior Advisor in Banking and Payments at PwC and Chief Information Officer for the Financial Institutions Group at Fiserv. At Fiserv, he managed a global technology team of around 5,000 staff and directed the technology strategies for a $6 billion revenue business, providing cutting-edge solutions for over 4,000 financial institutions across core account processing, payments, and fraud prevention.

Earlier in his career, he served as Managing Director and CEO at BNP Paribas India Solutions, leading a diverse organization of approximately 10,000 employees and delivering technology and operational services across multiple lines of business. Umasankar also spent over a decade at JPMorgan Chase, where he established and grew the India Technology Centre for Corporate and Investment Bank, building best-in-class software solutions across markets, investor services, and banking domains.
