Osaka, Japan, November 2025 — Urvashi Sarup has moved to Yanmar’s global headquarters in Osaka, Japan, to take on the role of Head of Global Human Resources. After leading and shaping Yanmar’s India operations for over eight years, this appointment marks a pivotal transition into a global leadership role—overseeing HR strategy, culture transformation, and people development across Yanmar’s worldwide operations.
Urvashi’s journey with Yanmar has been one of sustained transformation and strategic impact. Most recently, she served as CFO and Vice President – Finance & Corporate at Yanmar India, where she led the post-merger integration of YIPL with YEMI, establishing the back-office infrastructure for finance, HR, governance, IT, and corporate planning across multiple sites in India. Under her leadership, Yanmar India achieved financial turnaround and operational synergy across business lines in Engine, Marine, and Agri segments.
Earlier, as Director on the Board of YEMI, she played a critical role in shaping corporate governance and strengthening organizational structures. Her ability to bridge finance and people strategy made her a trusted business leader driving both performance and culture transformation within the Yanmar ecosystem.
Before joining Yanmar, Urvashi co-founded Markenrich Consulting Pvt. Ltd., a management consulting firm where she led business strategy, valuation, and financial advisory projects for over 15 years. She also served as a Partner at Raghu Nath Rai & Co., and as Manager – Consulting at KPMG, where she worked on projects involving business restructuring, process re-engineering, and financial modeling for major Indian and global clients.
Her academic and leadership engagements also include a stint as Assistant Professor at GD Goenka University, where she taught finance and corporate strategy to MBA students, reflecting her commitment to developing future business leaders.
