Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Valerie Pinto has joined APCO Worldwide as Managing Director India and Executive Director of Corporate Asia, bringing with her a wealth of strategic leadership experience in corporate communications, reputation management, and advocacy. In her new role, she will lead APCO’s operations in India, shape strategic corporate initiatives across Asia, and collaborate closely with regional and global teams to drive purpose-driven, high-impact programs that strengthen APCO’s presence in dynamic growth markets.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Valerie is widely recognized as one of India’s most influential communications leaders. Her expertise spans advisory, consulting, advocacy, and corporate reputation management—areas that align seamlessly with APCO’s mission to create meaningful engagement between corporations, governments, and communities.

Prior to joining APCO, Valerie served as Chief Executive Officer of Weber Shandwick India for nearly 11 years, where she led the agency’s transformation through creative storytelling, technology-led solutions, and integrated campaign design. Under her leadership, Weber Shandwick India emerged as a powerhouse of innovation and strategic communications, shaping the way brands engage with their audiences.

Before Weber Shandwick, Valerie spent over 15 years as CEO India at Perfect Relations, where she built one of India’s most formidable public relations networks, managing marquee clients including Godrej Group, Marico, Unilever, Coca-Cola, Google, Morgan Stanley, Shoppers Stop, eBay, Tourism Australia, Air India, and Airtel. Her early career began at UTV, where she served as Communications Manager, laying the foundation for a career marked by creativity, collaboration, and strategic excellence.

At APCO Worldwide, Valerie’s appointment marks a significant step in expanding the firm’s leadership bench in Asia. Her deep understanding of complex corporate and public landscapes, combined with her passion for purpose-driven communication, positions her to enhance APCO’s impact across the region and strengthen its role as a trusted advisory partner.
