London, United Kingdom, January 2026 – Vanessa van de Venter has taken on a new global leadership role as Global Head of Talent Acquisition, Grid Technologies at Siemens Energy, where she leads multi-regional hiring strategy, workforce planning, and TA transformation across Europe, the Americas, APAC, and MEA for one of Siemens Energy’s fastest-growing business areas.

Prior to this appointment, Vanessa van de Venter served as Global Lead – Talent Acquisition Service Management at Siemens Energy, leading global key-account aligned TA service teams responsible for strategic partnership, location and demand planning, escalations, and high-priority global hiring programs. She played a pivotal role in aligning talent acquisition strategy with business growth priorities across multiple regions.

Alongside this role, she also served as Head of HR – Türkiye & Central Asia (Interim), where she partnered with regional leadership to implement a state-of-the-art HR operating model, drive workforce planning, employee experience, leadership development, and change management initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Vanessa built deep executive and professional recruitment expertise at Siemens, where she served as Global Executive Recruiting Manager, Talent Acquisition Partner, and Talent Acquisition Consultant, leading global executive search, leadership pipelining, ATS implementations, candidate experience programs, and international hiring strategies.

She began her professional career in recruitment, sales, and business development roles across Highpoint Recruitment, First Distribution, Terrapinn, Nashua, and Direction Management.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
