Bournemouth, England, United Kingdom, September 2025 – Vicky Murdoch has joined Beyond Retail (UK) as Head of People and Culture, bringing her extensive HR leadership and talent acquisition expertise to the fast-growing e-commerce business. In her new role, she will lead people strategy and cultural initiatives that foster growth, innovation, and collaboration within the organization.
Prior to joining Beyond Retail, Vicky Murdoch served as People Services Manager at FiveRivers, where she spent nearly two years overseeing strategic HR operations across hybrid settings. Her role encompassed a wide range of people-centric services that supported the organization’s mission in child protection and social care.
Before her tenure at FiveRivers, Vicky held dual roles at the Active Learning Group, first as Group Head of People and then as Head of HR Services over a span of approximately three years. During this time, she played a critical role in shaping HR service delivery across brands such as The Bushcraft Company, SuperCamps, and Ardmore Language Schools, which collectively deliver transformative educational experiences for young people.
Earlier in her career, she was associated with the University Partnerships Programme (UPP) for seven months, where she contributed as Talent Acquisition Partner, spearheading recruitment strategies and enhancing employer branding across corporate services and operational domains. This followed her earlier stint with the Active Learning Group, where she focused on driving people strategy for multiple brands across recruitment, compliance, and engagement initiatives.
Vicky also spent over two years as Senior HR & Recruitment Manager at Merlin Entertainments plc, particularly for LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, managing both permanent and seasonal hiring for a diverse workforce of nearly 2,300 people. Her earlier roles include In-House Recruiter at TRL, Talent Acquisition Manager at The AA, and a range of recruitment leadership positions at Eteach—where she managed executive search campaigns and helped reposition GLF Schools as an employer of choice.
She began her HR career at Page Personnel UK, where she served as Consultant, achieving early success in finance and accountancy recruitment, and was promoted within six months for her outstanding contributions.
