Mumbai, India, December 2025 — Syntegon India has announced that Vijay Sharma has joined the organization as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), bringing with him extensive leadership experience across finance, large infrastructure projects, and multinational engineering and manufacturing organizations.
In his new role at Syntegon, Vijay Sharma will oversee the finance function, supporting the company’s strategic priorities across its pharmaceutical, biotech, and food technology businesses in India. His appointment further strengthens Syntegon’s leadership team as it continues to expand its footprint in mission-critical technologies for healthcare and high-precision packaging solutions.
Prior to joining Syntegon, Vijay Sharma served as Finance Director – Tender & Projects, APAC Region at Alstom, a role he held for close to five years. Based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, he was responsible for finance leadership across the APAC region, supporting tendering and project execution activities within Alstom’s transportation and infrastructure portfolio. Earlier, he also served as Head of Finance at Bombardier Transportation India, contributing to financial governance and project finance leadership.
Before this, Vijay Sharma held senior CFO roles within GE Power India Ltd. and GE, including serving as CFO and Whole-Time Director at GE Power India Ltd., and CFO at GE Power India Limited. His responsibilities during this phase included financial leadership for large-scale power and infrastructure operations. He also spent a significant portion of his career with Alstom India and Alstom Projects India Ltd., where he held multiple leadership roles over more than 15 years, including Finance Director – Steam Business India, Finance Director – Boiler Business, Head of Project Controlling, and other finance leadership positions. He began his professional journey with ABB Ltd. as Assistant Project Controller, building a strong foundation in project finance and controls.
