Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, February 2026 – Vinay Kumar has started his new role as Head of Information Technology at Tim Hortons – Middle East, where he will lead the full technology function across six GCC countries. In this leadership position, he will oversee applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, eCommerce, and IT support, while driving the IT strategy, roadmap, digital projects, and secure day-to-day operations across the region.
In his new mandate at Tim Hortons – Middle East, Vinay will collaborate closely with business teams, vendors, and global partners to modernize platforms, enhance systems and processes, reduce technology risks, and build a high-performing IT team to support business growth across the GCC.
Prior to this, Vinay served for nearly six years as Chief Information Officer at McDonald’s India – North and East, where he led the entire technology landscape, including applications, infrastructure, security, eCommerce, and IT service delivery. He drove digital transformation initiatives, strengthened security architecture, managed vendor ecosystems, and ensured high system reliability while shaping the IT vision and roadmap aligned with business expansion.
Earlier, he was associated with MMG as Chief Information Officer, leading technology across diversified business verticals including food & beverages and oil & gas. His leadership journey also includes serving as CIO / IT Head at PepsiCo FOBO (Nectar Beverages Pvt. Limited), where he steered enterprise-wide digital strategy, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, analytics, and automation initiatives while defining technology ROI and transformation KPIs.
Vinay’s earlier roles include IT Head – India at Flaktwoods, IT Manager at Bata India Ltd., IT Manager at Flyjac Logistics Pvt. Ltd., and Web Master at Iknoor Technology Pvt. Ltd. Over the years, he has led ERP implementations, large-scale infrastructure rollouts, data warehousing, BI systems, supply chain technology, and eCommerce transformations. His contributions have earned him recognitions including the Bharat Leadership Award, CIO 100 Winner 2023, and inclusion among Tech Pioneers: CTOs Building the Future of Technology.
With over two decades of technology leadership across retail, QSR, manufacturing, logistics, and FMCG ecosystems, Vinay Kumar brings deep expertise in digital transformation, cybersecurity, IT governance, and enterprise-scale technology operations. His appointment marks a strategic move as Tim Hortons strengthens its technology backbone across the Middle East.
