Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, July 2024 – Vinayan Nambiar has taken on the role of Chief Investment Officer at NIMIDA. In this role, he will be instrumental in building out a Global Investment Office and contributing to scaling growth and investments at NIMIDA’s operating businesses: Tamara Leisure Experiences, The Organic World, WellBe Foods, and Nimida Sports. Working alongside talented young entrepreneurs Shruti Shibulal of Tamara Leisure Experiences and Gaurav Manchanda of Nimida Group, Vinayan brings a wealth of experience to this strategic position.
Vinayan Nambiar joins NIMIDA after a long tenure at Premji Invest, where he spent approximately 17 years. Most recently, he served as Partner / Portfolio Manager managing the Public equities India Portfolio. Premji Invest is the investment management group formed to manage the financial investments of Azim Premji, the Chairman of Wipro, and his Foundation. Vinayan was part of the founding team and focused on opportunities in public and private equity strategies.
Before Premji Invest, Vinayan worked as a Lead Analyst at Bear Stearns / IGATE Global for about 2 years. In this role, he was a project manager anchoring the analytics operations for outsourced investment banking services.
Prior to that, he was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu for nearly 4 years. Here, he was involved in valuations, strategy formulation, financial modeling, development of business plans, and mergers & acquisition advisory.
Vinayan began his career at Cincinnati Milacron as an Engineer – Marketing Division for around 2 years. He was involved in equipment testing assembly, market development activities, and sales pipeline development in South India.
