Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2024 – Vineet Davis has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer – Renewable Energy at Welspun New Energy Limited (WNEL). With over 30 years of experience in operational leadership and large-scale project delivery, Vineet is poised to lead WNEL’s renewable energy operations, focusing on optimizing efficiency, fostering collaboration, enhancing customer satisfaction, and steering the organization toward its ambitious goals of achieving 5 GW of renewable energy capacity and 2 million tons of green hydrogen by 2030.
Before joining WNEL, Vineet was Business Head and Senior Vice President of Operations at JSW Energy Ltd, where he oversaw a 2000 MW wind and solar portfolio and led the development of innovative projects, including floating solar installations.
Prior to JSW Energy, he served as Director and Head of Operations at Inox Wind Limited, managing end-to-end EPC operations, including project execution, supply chain, and manufacturing, for over a decade. His expertise in wind energy and infrastructure was instrumental in driving operational success.
Earlier in his career, Vineet held senior leadership roles, including Vice President at JITF Water Infrastructure Limited and General Manager – Engineering at Reliance Industries Limited, where he led the development of over 400 petroleum outlets across North India. His tenure also includes key positions at Essar Oil Limited, Shriram Fertilizers and Chemicals, and Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals, where he honed his skills in project delivery and team management.
