New Delhi, Delhi, India, December 2025 — The National HRD Network (NHRDN), India’s largest professional body of Human Resources practitioners, has announced the election of Vir Bharat as Secretary of the NHRDN Delhi & NCR Chapter for the 2025–2027 term. His appointment was formalised at the recently held baton-handover ceremony of the chapter, marking the beginning of a new leadership cycle focused on learning, collaboration, and impact.

The new Executive Committee of the Delhi & NCR Chapter will be led by President Salil Lal, Vice President Dr. Pradyumna Pandey, Secretary Vir Bharat, and Treasurer Dheeraj Modi. Together, this leadership team has been entrusted with the mandate to strengthen the chapter’s legacy while steering it towards a more technology-enabled, future-ready HR ecosystem.

In his acceptance message, Vir Bharat expressed deep gratitude to the HR community for their continued trust and support, describing the election as “not just my win, but our win.” He emphasized that the Secretary’s role goes beyond administration and coordination, positioning it as a key enabler of collaboration, communication, and execution across the chapter.

Outlining his vision for the Delhi & NCR Chapter, Vir Bharat pledged to drive technology-enabled transformation to strengthen people capabilities at scale, especially in an era where digital, data, and AI are reshaping HR’s role in business. He underscored the importance of building integrated communication channels across all NHRDN Chapters and with the National Executive, so that knowledge, initiatives, and best practices can flow seamlessly across the network.

A key part of his agenda is to enhance the resilience, capacity, and capability of the Delhi & NCR Chapter, ensuring that it continues to play a pivotal role in building India’s HR strength. This includes creating platforms for deeper engagement, curating high-quality learning interventions, and designing inclusive forums that bring together senior practitioners, young HR professionals, academia, and institutions.

For the HR community, Vir Bharat’s election signals a promising new phase for the NHRDN Delhi & NCR Chapter. The leadership team has indicated a clear focus on:

  • Strengthening chapter-wide engagement through inclusive, technology-driven HR initiatives.
  • Building stronger bridges between practitioners, academia, and emerging HR talent in the region.
  • Reinforcing the chapter’s role as a catalyst for knowledge sharing, capability building, and strategic HR thinking in India.

Professionally, Vir Bharat brings over two decades of rich HR experience. He continues to serve as Head HR Business Partner at Yamaha Motor Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. (YMSLI), the Global Capability Center (GCC) of Yamaha Motor Group Japan, where he has been instrumental in driving HR transformation, workforce growth, and digital HR initiatives that align people strategy with global business ambitions. His broader career spans progressive HR roles focused on transformation, talent management, digitalization, and governance across diverse organisational contexts.

As NHRDN Delhi & NCR steps into its new term, the combination of an experienced Executive Committee and a technology-forward, collaboration-centric agenda positions the chapter strongly for the future. With Vir Bharat at the helm as Secretary, the chapter is poised to deepen its influence as a trusted platform for HR thought leadership, professional development, and community building—strengthening the voice and impact of HR professionals across Delhi, NCR and beyond.
