Osaka, Japan, March 2026 — Yanmar has announced the appointment of Urvashi Sarup as Director and Member of the Board at Yanmar Holdings, in charge of Global Talent Management, effective April 1, 2026. The appointment marks an expanded leadership mandate for Sarup, who is currently based in Osaka, Japan, and has held senior responsibilities across finance, corporate functions, and governance within the Yanmar ecosystem.
In her current journey at Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd., Japan, Urvashi Sarup has been serving as Division Manager since November 2025. Prior to this, she has also been associated with YANMAR India as Director, where she was appointed as a director on the board of YEMI.
Earlier, she served as CFO and Vice President at YANMAR India, where she headed finance and corporate responsibilities following the merger of YIPL with YEMI in 2022, and was responsible for setting up and managing back-office functions across the factory, corporate office, and branches covering financial and accounting leadership, HR and administration, IT and digitalisation, governance and risk (commercial and legal), and corporate planning.
Before that, Urvashi Sarup worked as CFO and AVP – Finance & Corporate, where she supported a turnaround of YIPL into a profitable business, restructured business lines across revenue models, set up the engine factory in Chennai under a separate legal entity (YEMI), and managed the legal process of the merger of YIPL with the YEMI factory. She earlier joined as CFO & Sr General Manager – Finance & Accounts, managing the trading business of Yanmar in India and overseeing finance and accounting, HR, IT, and legal functions.
Prior to joining the Yanmar group, she was Director & Co Founder at Markenrich Consulting Private Limited, where she worked on consulting and corporate advisory engagements spanning business strategy, financial plans, budgets and reviews, valuations, and process standardisation. She also served as an Assistant Professor at G D Goenka University, teaching finance across MBA and BBA programs, and was a Partner at Raghu Nath Rai & Co. She additionally served as Treasurer of the International School of Helsinki in an elected, non-remunerative board role, and earlier worked with KPMG as Manager – consulting. She began her professional journey with an articleship at A F Ferguson & Co.
