Cairo, Egypt, December 2025 — Yasmine Wahid has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at National Bank of Egypt (NBE), one of the country’s most prominent and historically significant financial institutions.
In her new role, Yasmine Wahid will lead the overall human resources strategy for NBE, with responsibility for organization development, talent management, leadership capability, workforce planning, performance management, and employee engagement across the bank’s extensive national and international operations. Her appointment comes at a pivotal time as NBE continues to strengthen its market leadership while modernizing its people and capability frameworks.
Prior to joining National Bank of Egypt, Yasmine Wahid served as Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer at Commercial International Bank Egypt (CIB Egypt), where she partnered closely with senior leadership on enterprise-wide HR strategy, transformation initiatives, and governance. Before this, she was Head of Human Resources at EGBANK, leading end-to-end HR operations and people strategy during a phase of organizational growth and capability building.
Earlier in her career, she spent over fifteen years with CIB Egypt in progressively senior leadership roles. These included Head of Organization Development, Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners, Head of Organization Development & HR Business Partners, Head of HR Business Partners, Head of Business Partners – Consumer Banking, and Head of Recruitment & Selection. Across these roles, she led large-scale initiatives spanning HR strategy, organization design, job evaluation, performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and strategic workforce planning.
Yasmine Wahid holds an Executive MBA from London Business School, an MBA in Human Resources Development from Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport, and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). She has also completed advanced certifications with the Human Capital Institute (HCI-USA), further strengthening her expertise in strategic HR business partnering.
With deep experience across banking, organization development, and large-scale workforce leadership, Yasmine Wahid brings a strong blend of strategic insight, execution discipline, and people-centric leadership to the National Bank of Egypt.
