Westminster, Colorado, June 2024 – Katie Pagano Gerwitz is promoted to Director, Global Learning & Leadership Development at Ball Corporation. Katie is excited to take on this leadership position and contribute to the company’s continuous growth and success.
Katie Pagano Gerwitz brings a wealth of experience to her new role as Director, Global Learning & Leadership Development at Ball Corporation, where she will be responsible for overseeing leadership development programs and global learning initiatives. Katie has been with Ball Corporation for four years, previously serving as the Global Enterprise Learning & Leadership Development Leader from February 2023 to June 2024. In this role, she collaborated with executive leadership and HR stakeholders to create and implement impactful leadership programs, co-created a comprehensive strategic framework for leadership development, and launched Ball Academy, an initiative providing the workforce with access to a wide array of courses and resources.
Before this, Katie worked as an Instructional Design Specialist at Ball Corporation from July 2020 to February 2023. She played a key role in designing and implementing the BPNCA Standard Orientation program, consistently achieving high satisfaction rates from new hires. She also led the Global Technical Training project, creating and testing technical training learning paths in collaboration with regional training leads and plant supervisors.
Katie’s extensive background includes her role as an Instructional Design Consultant at CMB Consulting from January 2018 to February 2023, where she provided advisory support to various organizations, including Manufacturer’s Edge and MEP New Mexico, and assisted Tulane University professors in transitioning courses to hybrid formats.
Additionally, Katie served as an Instructional Designer and Executive Assistant at the World Trade Center Denver from October 2018 to July 2020. Here, she demonstrated adaptability and resourcefulness in transitioning a large-scale conference to a virtual format and led the strategic overhaul of the organization’s online Learning Management System.
Katie began her career in education, teaching high school math and serving as STEM Department Chair at Ursuline Academy New Orleans from June 2012 to June 2018. She created a flipped classroom for Algebra II students, significantly improving exam scores, and was recognized for her contributions to the LSU College Readiness program.
