Lyon, France, June 2026 — ENYO Pharma has announced the appointment of Jeff George as Chairman, marking an important milestone as the company enters its next phase of growth and advances its clinical development programs in kidney disease therapeutics.
Jeff George brings extensive global leadership experience across the biopharmaceutical, healthcare, investment, and life sciences sectors. With a distinguished career spanning executive leadership, healthcare investing, and board governance, he is widely recognized for scaling global healthcare businesses, driving innovation, and supporting high-growth biotechnology organizations.
In addition to his new role at ENYO Pharma, George currently serves as Managing Partner at Maytal Capital, a healthcare-focused private equity and venture capital firm he founded in 2017. Through the firm, he has led and advised investments across biopharma, medical devices, health technology, and consumer healthcare sectors.
He also serves as Chairman of LENZ Therapeutics and holds board leadership roles at several healthcare and biotechnology companies, including Amneal Pharmaceuticals. Over the years, he has developed a strong reputation for guiding organizations through growth, commercialization, strategic expansion, and operational transformation.
Prior to his investment and board leadership career, George held several prominent executive leadership roles at Novartis, where he served as CEO & Division Head of Alcon and previously as CEO & Division Head of Sandoz. During his tenure, he led large global healthcare operations across more than 160 countries and played a pivotal role in expanding innovation pipelines, strengthening biosimilars capabilities, and accelerating enterprise growth.
Earlier in his career, he also held leadership roles at Gap Inc., McKinsey & Company, Deloitte, and several private equity and investment organizations, building broad expertise across strategy, business development, operations, and healthcare transformation.
At ENYO Pharma, George’s appointment is expected to strengthen the company’s strategic direction as it advances its lead therapeutic programs and prepares for the next stage of clinical and operational expansion.
