Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, August 2024 – Arshia Ahmad Saaqib has joined Descon as the new Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, Arshia will oversee all human resources functions, including recruitment, benefits, employee relations, and leadership development. She aims to enhance the employee experience, increase retention rates, and optimize benefit utilization by leveraging data and industry best practices. “I am delighted to be part of a purpose-driven and diverse organization. Arshia Ahmad Saaqib has begun her tenure as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Descon, based in Lahore, Punjab. She will lead HR strategies to drive organizational success and cultivate a culture of productivity and growth.
Prior to joining Descon, Arshia served as the Vice President HR at Engro Corporation and Engro Fertilizers Limited. During her tenure, she led various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development.
She also held key HR leadership roles at Coca-Cola CCI, where she was responsible for talent management and internal communications, and Standard Chartered Bank, where she developed talent acquisition strategies and managed high-potential employee development. Arshia has also worked with Ufone 4G and Volvo Pakistan Limited, gaining extensive experience in HR management and organizational development.
