Sitarganj, Uttarakhand, India, September 2024 – Major Amar Singh Chandel has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at Action TESA, effective April 2024. In this role, he will be responsible for managing the complete human capital for the company’s manufacturing unit in Sitarganj.
Prior to joining Action TESA, Major Chandel served as the Head of Human Capital & General Affairs at Welspun Corp Limited for approximately four years. In this position, he led the HR and administrative functions, focusing on enhancing organizational culture and operational efficiency.
Before Welspun Corp, he was the Blade Vertical HR Head at Suzlon Group for about three years and four months. He played a critical role in managing HR functions for the Blades Vertical, which is pivotal to Suzlon’s wind energy solutions.
Major Chandel’s earlier experience includes his role as State HR Head for Rajasthan at Jio, where he managed a large HR team and contributed to the company’s significant growth in the region over nearly two years.
He also served as Circle HR Head for Aircel in Rajasthan for eight months and prior to that, in the North East Circle & Assam Circle for approximately one year and two months. These roles involved extensive HR and administrative responsibilities across multiple regions.
