Zambia, September 2024 — Pride Mulonga has recently been appointed as Head of Human Resources at Agora Microfinance Zambia (AMZ). In this new role, Pride will lead human resources strategies and initiatives for AMZ, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission of providing financial services to Zambia’s rural population.
Prior to this, Pride served as the Talent Management and Development Manager at AMZ for one year, where he was responsible for overseeing recruitment, on-boarding, manpower and succession planning, and performance management. He played a key role in driving employee retention, training and development, and shaping the HR policy framework for a workforce of over 500 employees.
Earlier, Pride worked as an Independent HR Consultant, providing end-to-end consulting services to various clients in Zambia, including companies in the construction and hospitality industries. His services spanned recruitment, compensation and benefits, HR policy development, and employee relations.
Before his consulting career, Pride was the Country Human Resources Manager at Vodafone Zambia, where he was responsible for managing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee development, and industrial relations for over 230 employees.
Pride also held a prominent role at JTI (Japan Tobacco International) as a Talent Manager, overseeing recruitment, employee retention, succession planning, and performance management for a workforce of 150 permanent employees and up to 500 seasonal workers across Zambia.
