United States, August 2026 — Christie Root has joined Anthropic in Talent Development & Enablement, bringing extensive experience across leadership development, executive enablement, learning and development, experiential learning, safety culture, talent management, and organizational development. In her new role, she will support managers and leaders as Anthropic continues to scale its organization and advance its mission of developing AI systems safely.
Prior to joining Anthropic, Root spent more than four years with Uber, most recently serving as Executive Enablement Lead. In that role, she drove enterprise leadership effectiveness initiatives and designed bespoke executive onboarding experiences for more than 1,000 Directors, Senior Directors, and Vice Presidents. Before that, as Head of Experiential Learning, she led Uber’s programmatic approach to career development and managed the company’s global Learning & Development portfolio, including manager and leadership development programs.
Earlier in her Uber journey, Root served as a Learning & Development Business Partner, leading the global People & Organization Development business-partner strategy and helping establish measurement approaches to demonstrate business impact. She also previously worked with Uber Advanced Technologies Group, where she led the creation and implementation of a safety education program for employees, managers, and executive leaders.
Root also spent time with Aurora as Manager, Safety Culture and Education, where she partnered with executive leadership to build and execute an organization-wide safety culture program. Earlier in her career, she spent more than five years supporting Google via HCL Technologies, progressing from Team Trainer and Team Lead to Associate Manager – Training, where she led international training programs and managed a team of 20 trainers.
She holds a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA. Her background combines education, learning strategy, leadership development, safety culture, and organizational enablement, positioning her well to support Anthropic’s managers and leaders during a period of rapid growth.
