Matt Bartlett Appointed as Head of Talent Acquisition at ASB Bank

Auckland, New Zealand, September 2024 – Matt Bartlett has been appointed as the new Head of Talent Acquisition at ASB Bank. In his new role, Matt will lead the bank’s recruitment strategy, focusing on enhancing talent acquisition processes and driving workforce growth for one of New Zealand’s leading financial institutions.

Before joining ASB Bank, Matt served as the Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Fisher & Paykel Appliances for nearly six years. There, he led the global talent acquisition function across multiple international markets, including key manufacturing sites in Thailand and Mexico. His efforts were focused on streamlining recruitment processes, improving the candidate experience through automation, and enhancing the company’s employment brand.

Prior to his time at Fisher & Paykel Appliances, Matt was the Vice President of Talent & Culture at Orion Health, where he developed global talent acquisition strategies and spearheaded internal communications, succession planning, and employee experience initiatives. His key projects included addressing gender diversity in leadership and improving recruitment velocity using AI and automation.

Matt also held a leadership role at The Warehouse Group, where he served as Group Recruitment Manager. He was responsible for overseeing the recruitment process for the company’s various brands, managing a large team, and processing over 100,000 applications annually. His team delivered 3,000 hires across 250+ locations.

Earlier in his career, Matt gained experience in recruitment and HR leadership roles at companies such as Retailworld Resourcing, White Stuff, and Three Mobile, where he managed recruitment functions, developed talent pipelines, and implemented recruitment technology solutions.
