In this pivotal role, Jess will oversee all aspects of human resources strategy, fostering a culture that prioritizes innovation, agility, and employee development. Her leadership will be critical in aligning the company’s people strategy with its broader business goals, while enhancing employee engagement, talent acquisition, and organizational effectiveness.
Before stepping into this role, Jess Richardson served as Executive General Manager – People at Youi Insurance for five months, where she played an instrumental role in overseeing people operations and driving key initiatives related to culture and employee development. Her contributions helped position the company for further growth and operational success.
Prior to joining Youi Insurance, Jess was Chief People Officer at Fitness and Lifestyle Group for over four years, where she led strategic HR functions, including mergers and acquisitions, cultural transformations, and talent management. She developed and executed comprehensive people strategies that supported over 4,000 employees and 240,000 health club members across Australia.
Earlier in her career, Jess held the role of Head of People and Culture at Goodlife Health Clubs for two years. During her tenure, she implemented innovative HR strategies aimed at improving employee engagement and organizational performance. Her leadership contributed significantly to the company’s overall success and operational efficiency.
Jess also served as HR Manager at Vita Group Limited for over five years, where she was responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and processes. In this capacity, she oversaw the generalist HR team and ensured that the company’s people systems were aligned with its business objectives.
Her HR career began with roles at Leighton Contractors and Origin Energy, where she gained valuable experience in project delivery, change management, and strategic HR leadership.
