Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – October 2024 – Rachel Sturgess has been promoted to Senior Vice President at Tahaluf, a joint venture between Informa PLC and Saudi governmental entities. In her new role, Rachel will be pivotal in furthering Tahaluf’s vision to set new benchmarks in the international events industry, driving economic diversification and market access in line with Vision 2030.
Rachel joined Tahaluf as Group Director in June 2023, where she managed a range of major events, including Cityscape Global and the Global Health Exhibition. She led cross-functional teams to deliver strategic events aligned with Tahaluf’s mission, emphasizing growth, innovation, and stakeholder engagement across Saudi Arabia.
Before joining Tahaluf, Rachel served as Portfolio Director at Tarsus F&E LLC Middle East for over five years, overseeing a series of high-profile exhibitions and conferences in the aerospace sector. Her tenure was marked by managing large-scale events with government officials and heads of state, demonstrating her expertise in handling high-stakes projects.
Rachel also held the role of Director of Exhibitions at Dubai World Trade Centre, where she spearheaded the overall strategy for CABSAT, the region’s leading media, broadcast, and satellite exhibition. She successfully managed over 450 exhibitors and 13,000 visitors, enhancing the event’s visibility and impact.
Earlier in her career, Rachel worked at IQPC, starting as a Conference Producer and eventually becoming Divisional Director. She led the production of 45 annual events across New York and Dubai, showcasing her strong leadership skills and ability to manage complex event portfolios.
