Gurugram, Haryana, India, August 2026 — Torfac has appointed Dharmendra Singh Shekhawat as Managing Director, bringing on board a seasoned business and operations leader with approximately three decades of professional experience across manufacturing, telecommunications, operations management, quality, engineering and business transformation.
Prior to joining Torfac, Shekhawat held senior leadership responsibilities with WIKA Group, where he most recently served as Associate Vice President. He previously spent five years as Senior General Manager – Operations, heading plant operations and overseeing functions including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering and maintenance. His responsibilities included driving operational efficiency and managing both top-line and bottom-line performance with a large operations team.
Before WIKA Group, Shekhawat served as General Manager – Operations at Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited from 2019 to 2021. Earlier, he spent nearly four years with Telesonic Networks Limited, first as Head – Performance & Tools and subsequently as CTO – AP Homes. His responsibilities encompassed nationwide performance management, network improvement, workforce efficiency and large-scale operations involving teams and partner ecosystems.
Shekhawat also spent more than six years with Bharti Airtel Limited, progressing through roles including Senior Manager, Deputy General Manager, Head – Wireline Quality & Governance, and Head – NCRT. During this period, he worked extensively across customer experience, network quality, governance, process improvement and operational performance. He earlier served as Manager – Six Sigma at Greenfield Online Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft, and as Assistant Manager at GE Motors India Private Limited.
Shekhawat began his career with VE Commercial Vehicles Limited, a Volvo Group and Eicher Motors joint venture, where he worked as an Engineer for more than seven years. His career journey since 1995 has given him broad experience spanning operations leadership, commercial operations, manufacturing, supply chain, telecommunications, Six Sigma, quality management, customer experience and performance transformation. As Managing Director of Torfac, he brings this cross-industry leadership experience to the company’s next phase of business development and growth.
