Stockholm, Stockholm County, Sweden – October 2024 – Anders Hernodh has assumed the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at BDO, a leading global professional services firm. In his new role, Anders will oversee BDO’s IT strategy, drive digital transformation initiatives, and enhance the firm’s global technology infrastructure.
Anders brings over two decades of IT leadership and business strategy expertise to his new role. Most recently, he served as Director of Cloud and Product IT Operations at ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions. In this role, he led the division’s agile transformation within software development, developed a multi-cloud DevOps framework, and ensured a secure and resilient IT environment.
Prior to ASSA ABLOY, Anders spent seven years at Vattenfall, where he held several senior roles, including Head of IT Asset Management and Head of Nordic Operational Control. His tenure at Vattenfall was marked by strategic initiatives such as IT asset and software management, vendor consolidation, and budget management for large-scale IT projects. He was also instrumental in transitioning Vattenfall IT from a regional to a functional setup, integrating application and infrastructure IT services.
Before Vattenfall, Anders worked at Centigo as a Senior Consultant in IT Strategy and Governance, where he led projects focused on business intelligence, performance management, program oversight, and IT shared service centers. His strategic insights contributed to effective IT transformation across energy, utility, and healthcare sectors.
Earlier in his career, Anders held roles at Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Consultant, where he led due diligence, finance process reengineering, and shared service center projects across industries such as manufacturing, automotive, and FMCG. His experience in supply chain optimization and global ERP implementations further honed his expertise in IT strategy development.
