Defiance, Ohio, United States – November 2024 – Alexis Smith has started a new role as Chief People Officer at Keller Logistics Group, bringing her extensive expertise in strategic HR leadership and talent management. As CPO, Alexis will lead Keller’s human capital initiatives, driving programs to enhance employee engagement, organizational development, and workplace culture in support of Keller’s growth objectives.
In her previous role at Farmers & Merchants State Bank, Alexis served as Chief People Officer for over two years, where she was instrumental in designing and executing comprehensive human capital strategies. Her contributions encompassed succession planning, talent management, organizational performance, and employee relations, which aligned with the bank’s strategic goals.
Prior to this, Alexis held the position of Vice President, Talent and Organization Development at Farmers & Merchants State Bank. Overseeing core HR services, she provided strategic partnership in areas including workforce planning, HR analytics, and employee relations. Her work fostered organizational excellence and reinforced the company’s commitment to robust talent development.
Before joining F&M Bank, Alexis served as Director of Organization Excellence at ProMedica in Toledo, Ohio. In this role, she directed talent management, succession planning, and high-potential development strategies. Her initiatives supported ProMedica’s mission to be an employer of choice, emphasizing an internal talent pipeline for critical roles.
Earlier in her career, Alexis held several senior HR roles at The Andersons, Inc., where she worked across organizational development and change management, facilitating strategic initiatives that contributed to business performance and employee engagement. Her extensive experience here set the foundation for her leadership in talent strategy and employee development.
