Singapore, December 2024 – Serene Lim has been appointed as Head, People Experience Operations & Compliance at Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading superapp. In her new role, Serene will oversee critical functions aimed at enhancing employee experience, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance across Grab’s diverse workforce. This appointment marks another milestone in her impactful career at Grab, where she has contributed significantly to people strategy and innovation.
Serene has been with Grab for over five years, most recently serving as Head, People Strategy & Projects. In this role, she led high-impact initiatives, including transitioning Grab to a skills-based organization by implementing a talent marketplace, spearheading cultural transformation programs, and developing a strategic roadmap for Generative AI in HR operations. She also managed functional budgets, key objectives, and quarterly business reviews with senior leadership, demonstrating her strategic acumen and operational expertise.
Before joining Grab, Serene worked at Accenture for eight years, where she rose to the position of Manager in Management Consulting. She specialized in Talent & Organization Change Management and Finance & Enterprise Performance Management, serving global clients across industries, including consumer goods and services. Her international experience includes providing change management expertise on analytics projects for a global FMCG client based in the UK. Earlier in her career, she was a Senior Associate at Ernst & Young Singapore, where she contributed to performance improvement and corporate restructuring projects in the public and finance sectors.
Serene holds a Bachelor of Accountancy with a second major in Law from Singapore Management University, reflecting her strong foundation in strategic decision-making and compliance.
