New Delhi, Delhi, India, December 2024 – Abhishek Ranjan has taken the helm as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL). Bringing over two decades of diverse industry experience and a proven track record in leadership, Mr. Ranjan is set to lead BRPL into a new era of innovation and sustainable growth. His expertise in energy transitions, power markets, and renewable energy solutions positions him as a pivotal figure in advancing BRPL’s mission to provide reliable power and drive operational excellence.
Mr. Ranjan most recently served as a Partner – New Energies at EY-Parthenon, where he focused on energy transition and decarbonization strategies, emphasizing renewable electricity, energy storage, and clean mobility for clients across South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Before that, he was the Senior Vice President, Strategy & Head – Utilities & Retail at ReNew Power, where he played a key role in accelerating energy transition initiatives, driving renewable energy policy, and overseeing electricity market strategies.
His previous tenure at BSES Delhi as Vice President – System Operation, Power Markets, and Head of Renewable, Smart, & DSM Projects saw him spearheading digital transformation, energy analytics, and distributed energy resource management initiatives. He also led programs on electric mobility infrastructure and community energy storage during his six-year tenure.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Ranjan served at Reliance Power Limited as an Assistant Vice President – Business, where he managed tariff regulations, financial modeling, and bid management. He also gained valuable experience as an Engineer at NHPC Limited, focusing on design and power studies for hydroelectric projects, and as a Project Manager at Infosys, implementing enterprise applications and business intelligence solutions in the utilities and manufacturing domains.
