Sofia, Sofia City, Bulgaria, March 2025 – Bozhidar Bozhkov has been promoted to Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at BRIGHT, where he will drive strategic financial planning, sales governance, revenue growth, marketing strategy, and risk mitigation. With an extensive background in corporate finance, risk management, and commercial strategy, Bozhidar brings a wealth of experience to his new leadership role.
Bozhidar has been with BRIGHT for over two years, previously serving as Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board of Directors, where he played a pivotal role in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial strategy, budgeting, and cost optimization. His leadership contributed to successful deal closures and commercial planning, positioning BRIGHT for growth.
Before joining BRIGHT, Bozhidar held key leadership roles at Allianz, where he was First Vice President, Head of Corporate Sales. In this role, he managed corporate client relationships, commercial planning, and team leadership across multiple financial segments, including large enterprises, financial institutions, and SMEs.
Earlier in his career, he spent over 13 years at UniCredit Bulbank, where he held multiple positions, including VP, Head of Operational and Reputational Risk, Head of Investment Strategy and Products, and Manager of Institutional Sales. At UniCredit, he led risk management frameworks, investment strategies, and institutional client engagements, contributing significantly to the bank’s financial governance.
His career journey also includes roles at Northern Trust and Marble Bar Asset Management, where he gained global experience in corporate actions, financial research, and asset management.
